We are thrilled to announce the return of the Psychedelic Psychotherapy Forum (PPF) this fall. Now in its 6th iteration, PPF 2022 will facilitate dialogue and shared learnings amongst practitioners about psychedelic-assisted therapies, safe, ethical and cultural practices, indigenous and spiritual use of plant medicines, and psychedelic substances for personal and collective healing, and individual system development and transformation.
This event is currently being planned as an in-person gathering from September 29 to October 2, 2022, at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre on traditional, unceded, ancestral territories of the Snuneymuxw, in Nanaimo, British Columbia. There may also be opportunities to participate in concurrent online discussions.
For this year’s forum, we are wanting to “unconference the conference,” to get away from the conventional hierarchical speaker-audience structure, so that attendees, with all their experience and expertise, can participate in important conversations that are so needed at this time. The event will feature mainly roundtables, breakout sessions, as well as workshops with a few plenary sessions.
This year the PPF is inviting you to envision what you would like to see happen (i.e. topics, dialogues, and next steps/outcomes), and to take an active role in actualizing this vision.
What are the challenging and controversial topics we need to dive into? What is possible? How can we navigate when there are differences, without disconnecting and separating? How do we work together towards a common vision (and outcomes)? Ultimately, the goal is to continue to learn and grow, to keep our hearts and minds open, as well as to strengthen our practice and connection with each other, thus making a positive impact for clients and our community of practitioners.
