Let’s Breathe Together!

Nov 17 – 18, 2017
Victoria, BC

Holotropic Breathwork™ is a powerful approach to self-exploration and healing that integrates insights from modern consciousness research, anthropology, various depth psychologies, transpersonal psychology, Eastern spiritual practices, and mystical traditions of the world.

This weekend event will be of interest to clinicians and integrated healing professionals, as well as to those who are curious about different therapeutic modalities for personal transformation. Non-ordinary states of consciousness are inherently therapeutic because they help one tap into the collective unconsciousness and “the healer within.”

Clinicians will be interested to hear this from Dr. Ingrid Pacey: “Holotropic Breathwork is now part of training for all MAPS Phase 3 research therapists. It provides the opportunity to enter an altered state and also to then be witness/therapist for another’s journey. Trainees have reported that they see how Holotropic Breathwork and MDMA psychotherapy feed each other and propel the work. Holotropic Breathwork can provide a safe introduction into future work with psychedelic substances as it is self-generated by the breath. It can also provide opportunities for integration and resolution after psychedelic therapy.”

Continuing Education Credits: This weekend event has been approved for 11 CE hours, by Canadian Psychological Association (CPA), and Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), respectively. Participation in the entire weekend (evening panel and full day workshop) is required to attain these credits.

Full Day Workshop

Saturday, Nov 18, 9am – 7pm

Westin Bear Mountain Resort, Victoria, BC

Holotropic Breathwork™ evokes non-ordinary states of consciousness for self-discovery and healing that is similar to the use of some sacred and psychedelic medicines. It uses a combination of breathing, evocative music, focused bodywork, and mandala drawing to explore realms of the psyche ordinarily hidden to awareness.

Participants work in pairs and alternate in the roles of experiencer and “sitter”. The sitter’s role is simply to be available to assist the breather, not to interfere or interrupt the process. The same is true for trained facilitators, who are available as helpers if necessary.

This full-day workshop is being led by certified Grof facilitators Dr. Ingrid Pacey and Carolyn Green, PhD, and supported by certified Grof facilitators Jane Cooper and Renn Butler, and Grof Transpersonal Training Program apprentice Jack Bowering.

Registration fee includes a lunch snack pack and buffet dinner at Westin Bear Mountain Resort and Spa, Victoria, BC.

Refund Policy: Cancellation deadline is Oct 10, 2017 to receive a refund minus a $50 administrative fee. However, registrations are transferable provided we are notified by Nov 10, 2017.
